Types of Nuts

Small intro to the different types of materials I use.
They change, come and go in design, but over all they are the same

Thinly sliced Tagua Nut

Cubed Tagua Nut

From Wikipedia
Vegetable Ivory is a name used for the Tagua nut in the South American rain forest. When dried out, it can be carved as an ivory replica. Humanitarians and environmentalists can both appreciate it because its use stimulates the economies in South America, provides an alternative to cutting down rain forest for farming, and prevents elephants from being killed for their tusks.
The Ivory-nut palm, Phytelephas aequatorialis, is one plant that can be harvested for vegetable ivory. It is often used for beads and jewelry and can be dyed. Phytelephas macrocarpa, known as tagua, is also used for this purpose.

Bombona Seed

They are dyed in order to achieve these colors.

Introducing R

They are all made of things that I have bought from Colombia; tagua, nazareno, bombona, etc ademas de algunas semi-preciosas, incluyendo quarzos y perlitas.

They are all one of a kind as you can see to the right; sliced tagua, quarzos, sea shells, wooden beads, good luck charms and ceramic.

These are one of a kind tagua pieces with a whole in the middle, and one to the side shaped as a slice of an apple. Some have leather string and the others cotton ones.

These are my prized possesion! Beautiful bracelets, each unlike any other, made with murino glass, wooden beads, quarzo, pearls, tiger eye, swarvoski cristals, and different charms for good luck.

All my jewelry is made thinking of the summertime, bright colors that go well with anything , they really make an outfit! even a white tshirt and jeans can be made up with these.

I will resize and personalize.

In the winter they also look amazing against plain black. So much for bleak weather when wearing these!
